The Foil Drive Assist MAX is the flagship model in the Foil Drive range — the most powerful, longest-running and most versatile electric foil assist system available. This is a Gen 1 (V1) kit, where the motor cable is permanently wired into the motor unit (the key difference from the V2, which has a removable cable connection). Both generations deliver the same riding performance.

This kit includes two motors — a 20cm and a 70cm — giving you maximum versatility across different foil mast lengths and riding conditions. Ideal if you want to either use it for efoiling with the lower motor, 70cm depth, or if you want to ride the waves, there is a 20cm option. The kit has been used for approximately six sessions and is in very good condition. It comes with the Foil Drive MAX power battery, stored at 55% charge, and every accessory from the original kit.

Q: What is the difference between Gen 2 (V1) and Gen 2 (V2) Foil Drive motors?
A: The main difference is the cable connection. On the V1 motor, the cable is permanently wired directly into the motor. On the V2, the cable is removable. Riding performance and thrust are the same.

Q: Does the kit work with my F-ONE foil?
A: Yes — this kit includes mast attachment plates specifically for the F-ONE aluminium foil mast and the F-ONE carbon 14mm foil mast, ready to fit your existing F-ONE setup. But you can buy a multi mast adaptor from Foil Drive, 

Q: Why is the battery stored at 55%?
A: 55% is the recommended storage charge level for lithium batteries — it's a good sign the battery has been looked after. Simply charge to full before your first session.

Q: Is the replacement trigger kit included because something is broken?
A: No — the bag appears unused and is the spare trigger kit that came with the original purchase. The controller is in working order. The customer just read that they could be a problem, so they bought a spare.
