C-Skins' official women's wetsuit chart lists height, chest and waist, but no hips. So we laid our C-Skins women's wetsuits flat in the shop and measured them. A UK 12 measures about 94cm (37") around the hips, unstretched. The full figures are below, in cm and inches.

How to use these numbers
- Measure your hips around the widest point, with the tape level.
- Compare that with the hip figure for each size. These are the suit's own measurements, not body measurements, so a wetsuit that is a little smaller than you when unstretched is normal. That snug fit is what stops cold water flushing through.
- Check your chest and waist against the official C-Skins chart below too.
- If your hips point to one size and your chest or waist to another, call us on 01227 276566 or come and try both. That is exactly where a chart stops helping.
On the suits we checked, the waist is cut a couple of centimetres roomier than the body waist on C-Skins' chart, while the chest is cut smaller so it seals.

Common questions
Do C-Skins publish hip measurements for women's wetsuits?
No. The official C-Skins women's chart only lists height, chest and waist. That is why we measured the hips of our own stock and published them above.
Do C-Skins women's wetsuits come up big?
C-Skins say their women's sizes come up a little larger, by half to a whole size depending on the style, and more noticeably in the bigger sizes. Measure yourself and check both the official chart and our hip figures.
What does the S mean in UK 8S, 10S or 12S?
S sizes are for shorter women. They have the same chest and waist as the standard size, with a shorter height range. For example, a UK 8S is for 160-165cm and a UK 8 is for 163-168cm.
Are the hips the same on the Solace, Surflite and ReWired?
Very close on the suits we measured. A Surflite UK 12 and a ReWired UK 12 measured the same at the hips, and they sit between the Solace UK 10 and UK 14. C-Skins don't publish this themselves, so allow for small differences between models.
My hips are bigger than the figure for my size. Will it still fit?
Possibly. Our figures are the suit unstretched, and a wetsuit is meant to be a little smaller than you so it seals. How much stretch feels comfortable depends on the model and on you, so the best answer is to try it on, or call us on 01227 276566 with your measurements.
