Cotton or fleece?

A cotton hoodie is comfortable and useless once it's damp — it holds water and pulls heat off you. Fleece keeps insulating wet. If it's going in the car for after a swim, buy fleece. If it's for the walk into town, cotton is fine and cheaper.
