Twin tip boards.
Twin tip kitesurfing kiteboards offer a great balance of performance and control. They are designed with two symmetrical tips, allowing riders to ride in both directions for maximum manoeuvrability. These boards can be used for freestyle tricks, big jumps, and smooth carving. Twin tip boards have low buoyancy and can easily cut through choppy waters, and are ideal for the beginner to learn to kitesurf on. They are good for learning to ride upwind. Wide twin-tip kitesurf boards over 43cm wide are good for light winds. The smaller twin tips give more control in strong winds and wave conditions. When choosing your twin tip body weight, there are many factors to consider. The pads and straps are also an important consideration. Securing your feet in the straps on the board in choppy water whilst at speed is essential.
Kite Surfboards.
Surf kiteboards or directional boards are designed to emulate a traditional surfboard ideal for wave riding. These boards have a high rocker than a twip tip, so the nose will not catch in the waves. These boards come with three or four fins depending on your riding style. The curved outline of a directional board helps turn when wave riding. Some riders will jump in waves and choppy conditions without straps to do strapless freestyle.
