The North 2012 X-Ride is an all terrain twin tip perfect for doing huge jumps, freestyle and power carves in the surf. The North X-Ride’s aesthetically harmonic features and smooth ride still make it the most versatile board in the North Kiteboarding range.



North Kiteboarding Track System:
Kiteboarding is evolving at an amazing pace. As a result of this development, the demands on the material are increasing as well.



Due to new tricks and an increased variety of people who engage in the sport, it has become more and more important that the entire equipment can be individually adjusted.



For this reason North have set out to develop a multifunctional mounting system for their boards. What North envisaged was a solution that would allow a wide range of adjustments as well as quick and easy mounting of the footpads without having a negative influence on the board’s flex and weight.



The result of this effort is a system that meets all our requirements. North proudly present the new THE TRACK SYSTEM!



North Kiteboarding Track System



The Track System features two ultrasonic welded tracks made of fibreglass reinforced plastic that are laminated into their boards in the production process. The tracks are then CNC milled out of the finished board.



The Track Nuts provide the connection with the footpad. The Track Nuts are made of non-corrosive brass and can be freely moved along the track to both sides. This system offers a whole range of possibilities to mount your footpads. One particular advantage is that the flexible tracks do not interfere with the finely-tuned flex of North boards.



North Kiteboarding G-10 Fins:

Heaps of grip from the specially designed G-10 S-bend fins make takeoffs easy for boosting over the moon. Or take advantage of the curvy outline, the cylindrical concave and the progressive rocker to carve like a hot knife through butter in small waves and blast through the most evil chop with ease, all without ever getting rail-spray in your face!



The specially designed S-Bend fins gives the North 2012 X-Ride excellent upwind abilities, provide grip for high speed carves and allow you to hold your edge to the absolute limit for maximum pop and massive jumps.



North X-Ride Responsive Flex:

A truly versatile machine that feels easy and comfortable from the moment you place your feet in the straps, the X-Ride appeals to a wide audience and a variety of styles.


The new responsive centre flex concept allows for earlier planing while also dampening and absorbing the chop for an incredibly smooth feel. A refined, rounder rocker and slightly wider outline have further tightened North X-Ride’s turning radius for venturing out into the surf and make it easy to find the release point for take-offs.



The control is further enhanced by a wood sandwich construction and soft flex characterisitcs.



The concave bottom in combination with the round rail gives you maximum grip and a smooth water flow off the edge, increasing control, performance and comfort.

The soft flex and good absorption allow you to ride effortlessly through chop, while the new S-bend fins give you outstanding grip and acceleration allowing for big jumps, high speed turns and performance in waves you didn't think was possible with a twin tip.

A great freestyle board, even in the toughest conditions, the North X-Ride 2012 makes riding easier and lets you focus on the tricks instead of trying to control the board.

North Kiteboarding Vario Footstraps:



North Vario Footstraps Kite Surf Board



The tried and tested Vario Combo is once again an integral part of North's collection. The Vario Combo has been completely reworked and is now easier to mount, more compatible and more comfortable.



The new design of the Vario Buckles features modified strap insertions that substantially simplify mounting. The ergonomically shaped Vario Pad still convinces with its high comfort and the proven anti-slip structure guarantees a firm grip in all situations.



The new Vario Strap offers increased size adjustment through the optimized Velcro closure. Adjusting the size is now much quicker and easier. This is particularly important if you have to use neoprene booties in cold conditions or if different riders use the same board.

The Vario Combo is compatible with all North Kiteboarding boards of any product generation.

North Kiteboarding Entity (NTT) Footstraps:



North Entity Footstraps Kite Surf Board



North Kiteboarding know every foot is different. The new Entity Combo now comes with a whole range of innovative features such as the NTT ContactPad or the NTT SplitStrap. The entire product once again sets new standards in the evolution of kite sports. The NTT is quick and easy to mount. It offers a variety of settings for a perfect fit.



The NTT has been designed and tested for use together with the new Track System. “The Track” is the new mounting system of our twintips. In connection with The Track, the NTT unfolds its full potential of individual settings, many of which are completely new in kite sports.



The NTT Contact Pad consists of the new, redesigned EVA footpad and the NTT ContactFrame. The ergonomically shaped footpad was developed in cooperation with the leading experts in ergonomics. The Hexagonal Density Control Structure is a new feature in 2012. This structure helps reduce pressure in sensitive areas of the foot and contributes to the pad’s low weight. The newly designed Anti-Slip surface ensures a good grip, even in very rough landings and radical moves. Furthermore, the pad is supplied with three NTT Heel Cushions of varying hardness: “soft” for more comfort, “hard” for better control and “medium” for the golden mean.



The NTT ContactFrame is the intelligent basis of the entire footpad that is made of fiberglass reinforced plastic. Its weight-optimized construction perfectly adapts to the shape of our boards. The advantage of this design and material is that the board’s flex characteristics are not influenced in any way. The NTT Contact Frame envelops the footpad and reliably transfers forces to the board. The NTT ContactPad has direct contact with the board, which enhances the board feeling. For even better fit, the NTT ContactPad is available in two sizes (S/M + L/XL)! The entire package combines individual fit, comfort, control and functional design on a completely new level!
